Jr-Sr High School News 🌷

Spring is traditionally a very busy time of year at the Junior-Senior High School. I think it is safe to say that both students and staff are looking forward to the upcoming spring break.

We have a group of 22 students and chaperones heading on this year's world language adventure trip to Costa Rica and Panama. We wish them safe travels and hope they create once-in-a-lifetime memories. Thank you to Mrs. Peracciny for leading and coordinating this trip with EF tours.

Student of the Month ⭐

Congratulations to February Student of the Month winner, Izabella Garcia. Izabella is a senior student who was nominated by Mr. Harris.

Mr. Harris reports that Izabella is an incredible student who is very involved in school activities. She is a member of the National Honor Society, for which I am the advisor. She is one of the most responsible, well-spoken students I have ever worked with. She has been one of my best NHS members this year, due to her dedication and initiative. One major thing that not only I, but other teachers, have noticed is how well-written all her emails are. Her emails are very well stated and organized, already at a college level. She makes sure to communicate very well and stay on top of any responsibilities she has. When preparations began for the NHS Veterans Day Dinner, I sent out information about seeking donations before our first meeting, stating we would discuss it more at the meeting. Izabella immediately emailed me, stating her eagerness to begin, and that she already had ideas for donations she can seek due to where she works in town. She would then come to our first meeting with her donation already set and all paperwork filled out, which was incredible. She would then go above and beyond, getting a second donation that was not required. Also, whenever I post a meeting date, and she has a conflict, she will immediately email me to inform me of this. She will also make sure to check with me in person to get any information she needs. This includes recent optional volunteering opportunities within the school community that she always makes sure to be involved in. Overall, Izabella is the definition of responsible and going above and beyond, and is very deserving of Student of the Month.

If you see Izabella, be sure to congratulate her!
