Request for Pre-Kindergarten Collaboration with Community Based Organizations
Section 3602-e of Education Law, which establishes the Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) program, requires that a school district seek to collaborate with existing community-based organizations (CBOs) that provide early childhood education services. The CBO must be within the school district boundaries and be able to meet all NYS Pre-K requirements, including, but not limited to, having a NYS state certified teacher, appropriate paraprofessionals, certified supervisor, meet health and safety protocols, follow the NYS PK learning standards, and provide appropriate assessment of learning. Interested CBOs can submit a letter of interest to Jennifer Stearns, Principal, at Oak Orchard Elementary School, 335 West Oak Orchard St, Medina NY 14103 by March 24, 2023.
