Medina CSD’s Oak Orchard Primary School wants to extend a heartfelt thank you to Assemblyman Stephen Hawley (Assembly District 139) for making National Read Across America Day a special one for their students.
Assemblyman Hawley read “I Can Read With My Eyes Shut” by Dr. Seuss to kindergartners in the school’s library. March 2nd was Theodor Geissel’s (Dr. Seuss) birthday and has since been designated a day to celebrate reading for children. On this special day, students, teachers, parents and community members around the nation come together to read books and celebrate the joys of reading. Assemblyman Hawley graciously donated the book to the school’s library for everyone to enjoy!
