Dress Code Reminder

Dress Code Reminder

With the nice weather finally upon us, we are noticing an increased number of dress code violations within the building.  When getting ready in the morning, please keep our dress code in mind.  If you have any doubt as to whether your outfit is appropriate, it is most likely not appropriate.  As a reminder, below you will find the dress code expectations as outlined in the Student Handbook:

Dress Code

Items not permitted include, but are not limited to:

  • Overly revealing clothing
  • Short shorts
  • Skirts and dresses must be of an appropriate length (use “fingertip” rule)
  • Tube tops and halter tops
  • Off the shoulder style shirts
  • See-through mesh shirts, and articles of clothing with objectionable or suggestive writing and/or pictures
  • Articles of clothing/jewelry referring to drugs or alcohol
  • "Droopy Drawers" or “low cut” pants/skirts which expose any undergarments or skin
  • Clothing with writing or illustrations which are sexual or offensive in any way
  • Clothing designed to promote racial/ethnic bigotry
  • Hats and other head coverings…unless for religious purposes
  • Chains of more than 12" in length
  • Bare midriff shirts. Shirts must be at least to the top of the belt.
  • Studded Accessories
  • Sunglasses (Regular or Prescription)
  • Pajama pants or “sleeping attire”

Please review the above information, and know that all students will be expected to change if they are not dressed according to the District’s dress code.

Thank you all for your anticipated cooperation, and have a fantastic end to the school year!

Sincerely,

Mr. Cavanagh
