Senior Photos

Senior Photo Sessions:  Each Student will have a 10 minute mini-session scheduled throughout the two days at no charge unless they would like to purchase prints at a later date.  Students will receive a pass by the end of the first week of school.  Students will have proofs mailed to them.  Each student MUST have a senior photo session taken with the school photographer regardless of having photos taken by an outside photographer.  If your Senior is having photos taken from an outside photographer and would like to submit it to be used in the yearbook, please adhere to the details on this paper.  *Please note some requirements have changed.

 

Senior Yearbook Photo Requirements

Attention Class of 2023:   Inter-State Studio will take a senior picture on September 14, 16th and that will be used for the yearbook, school IDs, the district graduation bulletin and any further photography needs. You must have this photo taken and you will not be charged unless you order prints.  If you would like to submit an outside senior portrait, please read below:

 

Professional Photo Specifications

Senior photos submitted to the yearbook must be:

  • Must be school portrait style, no props/animals/ just head and shoulders - not full length and must be looking at the camera.  

  • In color.

  • Do not cut the head/hairline at the top of the photo.

  • Indoor or outdoor backgrounds

  • The MHS Yearbook reserves the right to refuse a photo not meeting specifications.

  • Portrait MUST be a head/shoulders shot of the student LOOKING at the camera. 

  • The school dress code is in effect.

  • Photos MUST be sent by a professional photographer, we will not accept selfies, photos taken on a phone or by a friend.  They must be PROFESSIONALLY taken and sent directly to the yearbook staff at:  aperacciny@medinacsd.org  DUE to copyright reasons, the photo MUST come directly from the PROFESSIONAL photographer unless you have a written copyright from the photographer.  

  • If you do not meet the senior photo deadline, we will use the photo from Inter-State taken in September.

 

Digital File Format

  • 300DPI

  • Width 2.25”

  • Height 3”

  • File format type JPG

  • File name must be the student’s name, not a number

 

Submission Process

All images MUST BE submitted electronically via e-mail.  Please attach your photo to an e-mail with the student’s name and the words Senior Photo in the re: line to:

aperacciny@medinacsd.org

 

Note: You cannot save photos into Word, Works, Photoshop, tiff, gif, or PDF, file formats.  PLEASE DO NOT TAKE PRINTS FROM YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER AND SCAN THEM. THE QUALITY IS USUALLY POOR. HAVE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER SUBMIT THE IMAGE.  COPYRIGHT LAWS ARE IN EFFECT!!!

Please share this form with your photographer. It will help your photographer if they are going to submit the photo on your behalf. We will send a confirmation email typically within 5 school days.
