About Me: This will be my first year teaching English at Medina High School. I graduated from SUNY Fredonia in 2012, beginning my career at The Gow School a few months after graduating college. I taught English 6, 9, 10, and 11 at The Gow School from 2012-2018, and I also earned my Masters in Literacy (B-12) at SUNY Fredonia.
I love teaching reading and writing because each class brings new experiences and ideas into the lesson, so each class yields different discussions and ideas. Often, students' perspectives help me to look at a text in a different way. I teach English 8 and provide Academic Intervention Services (AIS) for students in a smaller, more-individualized class setting.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, hiking, golf, kayaking, football, tennis, and cooking. I recently began my pursuit of the 46 Adirondack High Peaks, so I enjoy camping and hiking in this area with my wife and our Golden Retriever. I also have a big family, so I enjoy spending as much time with my brothers and nephews as possible. I'm looking forward to a great school year at Medina!
