    About Me:

Hi, I'm Mrs. Forrestel. I have been a teacher in the Medina Central School District for several years now. I graduated from SUNY Geneseo with my BA in English. I then continued my studies at D'Youville College, where I received my MS in TESOL. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to teach those from different cultures and backgrounds, whose first language is not English. It is as much of a learning experience for me, as it is for them.

Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! It is my mission to instill a love for learning in my students. I attempt to teach with a passion and creativity for my subject so that my students develop a desire to become life-long learners and to create a path to a beneficial future.

I love learning about my students and making a connection with them. I reside in Akron with my husband, son and daughter, and Golden Retriever. Some hobbies that I love are camping, hiking, cooking, baking, sports, and crafting. Although I have many hobbies, I enjoy spending time with my family, above all.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. It is important to keep communication open, and I would love to talk to you whenever you feel the need. I look forward to a great year together!

  • Hello Students and Family,

During this unforseen school closing, due to COVID-19, I would like to provide a link that may be helpful to you and your child(ren) as extra support. Although we are not in school, please try your best to keep a routine and take this time for extra practice and review.

The link below can be used for support for: Communication, Health Care support, subjects, virtual field trips, as well as a list of activities you can do that does not involve technology, and numerous websites you can visit to help with learning :)
