I am Ms. Pelligra and this is my fourteenth year teaching.
This is however my first year teaching Technology Education in the Medina School District.
It has been an absolute pleasure to educate fourth, sixth and seventh graders about various
types of technology in this 21st Century.
I was born in Buffalo, N.Y. I grew up in Kenmore, N.Y. I attended the Kenton School District.
I have completed two master degrees. My first master degree was earned in the field of
Educational Computing at Buffalo State College I also earned a second master degree in
Educational Adminstration at Niagara University. I currently maintain four New York State teaching
certifications and I am working on completing another.
Having the opportunity to teach Technology to young tweens and teens is not just a job to me.
Working with technology is a passionate hobby of mine. I enjoy web designing, photography,
graphic designing and video editing. I enjoy helping people of all ages learn to better use computers
and technology in general. My summertime goal is to continue to pursue a consultant business where
I may be able to work one on one with adults to assist them in the technology topic of their choice.
In order for students to enjoy my classes I promote many project based activities.
Working as a team player is also very important. I engage students in 21st Century skills and look forward
to implementing many Web 2.0 synchronous and asynchronous tools and resources. A goal is to promote
student learning to real-world scenarios especially when it comes to promoting Engineering Design.
I have always been passionate about learning new technology skills. I believe the more you learn,
the more you want to learn, especially when learning new software programs with high learning curves.
I also enjoy the outdoors especially walking/hiking, biking and camping. I am an avid hockey fan.
I enjoy spending time with my family and attending as many of my nieces and nephews sporting events.
Thank you for taking time to review my information. I look forward to a new and exciting school year!
