About Me:  Hello!  My name is Lisa Bitsas!  I am excited to be your Earth Science teacher this year.  I have been teaching in Medina for 16 years, but have spent most of my life in Medina.  I graduated from MHS in 1990.  I earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Ohio Northern University.  ONU is where my love of science and nature really began.  I was lucky enough to work as a bird banding intern in Fairbanks, Alaska during college.  During my internship, we gave banding presentations to local school groups, and that is when I decided that I wanted to become a teacher.  I earned by Earth Science and teaching degree from SUNY Brockport.  I was thrilled to be offerred a job here in Medina.  Besides teaching Earth Science, I am the co-advisor for Student Association and the MHS Scholarship Chairperson.

I live in Spencerport with my husband Taso and my three children; Vasiliki, Ana, and Niko.  We love spending time outdoors swimming, golfing, and hiking.
