About Me: Hi, my name is Mr. Benedict. I have been teaching in the Medina High School since January of 2002. I am a second career teacher who spent 20 years working in the service industry in maintenance and repair, specializing in refrigeration repair. I am thoroughly enjoying my second career helping the students of Medina learn and grow to the next level.

I was born in the Southern Tier of New York State near Corning and moved to the Rochester Area in 1989. At that time I was able to begin my college education at The College at Brockport. I finished my Bachelor’s Degree there and completed my Master’s Degree at Brockport as well.

While raising my daughters before I went to college, I realized through coaching them and their friends in town leagues that helping people learn and grow brought more satisfaction than any other ‘job’ I had in the past. Becoming a teacher was an obvious choice and has been a great ‘career.’

My other interests include baseball and football. I am looking forward to many hours playing and teaching with my grandchildren Jameson, Marissa, Keeley and Fiona.

I have enjoyed working with my students so far this year and look forward to finishing the year strong striving for top results.
