Socratic SeminarsPosted by Denise Stappenbeck at 4/3/2017 3:00:00 PM
The Socratic Seminar is a formal discussion in which students ask open-ended (Level 2 and Level 3) questions based on a shared text.
Students listen closely to the comments of others, thinking critically for themselves, and articulate their own thoughts and their responses to the thoughts of others. They use the text as a source from which to cite evidence as well as their personal experiences that they bring to the discussion.
