About Me:

My name is Becky Botsford and I have been teaching in Medina for four years.  I am originally from Lyndonville where I started my musical education on Piano, Clarinet and Bassoon.  I studied Music Education at SUNY Fredonia with my concentration in Bassoon.  I spent a season with the American Wind Symphony Orchestra doubling on Bassoon and Contrabassoon.  My first teaching job was in Jamestown, NY where I spent 8 years teaching Middle School Band.   I continued my education getting a Masters Degree from SUNY Fredonia in Music Performance-Wind Conducting. I had the wonderful opportunity to spend a summer semester in Germany furthering my studies in Conducting.  I currently reside in Lyndonville with my husband, Chris and two daughters: Robin and Lily.
