Peer Mediation

For students to become a peer mediator they have to put in 15 hours during the summer.  They have to be willing to listen, help other students with their problems, and be very patient.  The students are happy to help other students.  To talk to a Peer Mediator during school hours you only need to make an appointment with a peer mediator.  To do this all you have to do is go down to the office, and sign-up on the sign-up sheet. Your problem will be kept secret.  If it is dangerous for you or another person,  for example suicide or threats, then the counselors will be brought in the room.

Peer Mediation is well known to all the students.  Counselors say that it is a very helpful situation to our school.  It  prepares students for life and gives them an opportunity to help others such as their classmates or peers.  It also gives them a greater aspect on life.

To make an appointment with one of the counselors you could ask your teacher to go  see them, come to the office and sign up, or leave a note in their mailbox.
